LaTex Images

% Positioning of images within LaTex really sucks. I only do it to add them to my list of figures. In the end you should place them with InDesign, Illustrator or ffs Paint. Don't do it with LaTex. % image \begin{figure} \caption{image caption} \label{labelnameXYZ} % always after caption (!!!) \includegraphics[width=0.1\textwidth]{path/filename} % no extension \end{figure} % reference in text \ref{labelnameXYZ} % output -> latex image number e.g.: 7.1 page:\pageref{labelnameXYZ} % output -> page % Enable absolut positioning of images \usepackage[absolute]{textpos} % Image with position=absolute and size=cover, no need to do this at any time but here you go (requires that line above) \begin{textblock*}{\paperwidth}(0mm,0mm) \begin{figure} \noindent\includegraphics[height=\paperheight]{filename} \caption[Text in bib]{Caption} \end{figure} \end{textblock*} % Note: Images can not be included in multicols % Example: Page-filling image in multi-column layout, which is later to be replaced by a graphics program. \end{multicols} \pagebreak \begin{center} \begin{figure} \includegraphics[width=0.1\textwidth]{innsbruck} \caption{AAF von Facebook: 'Bild könnte enthalten: 2 Personen, Personen, die lachen, Personen, die stehen, Schnee, Baum, im Freien und Natur'} \label{innsbruckAAT} \end{figure} \end{center} \pagebreak \begin{multicols}{2} (siehe Abb. \ref{innsbruckAAT} auf S. \pageref{innsbruckAAT})
